Culture
The word “culture” is most commonly used in three basic senses*:
- Excellence of taste in the fine arts and humanities, also known as high culture
- An integrated pattern of human knowledge, belief, and behavior that depends upon the capacity for symbolic thought and social learning
- The set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution, organization, or group
Therefore, when looking at and trying to understand culture and the effects it has on an individual’s decision making, it is necessary to consider all factors that influence how an individual thinks, acts, and interprets their respective environment. Culture becomes the building block for shaping their perception of the world in which they live in. Made up of race, country of origin, customs and beliefs, Culture provides the foundation for individuals to position themselves in society.
Urban DNA tears apart the layers that make-up an individual’s cultural background in order to identify trigger points and how they manifest externally to influence decision making and behavior.
Whether a person has first generational ties, distant or multiple ties to any distinct cultural society, Urban DNA is the leader in developing and executing strategies that effectively and successfully resonate with individuals from various cultural groups.
